What makes Dusty different than some of the other Realtors with his level of success, is that he’s not afraid to get in there and do the little things like changing light bulbs in his properties. Whatever needs to be done, he does it. He says you can’t have an ego in this business and you can’t have the mindset that you are too good for anything.
Starting from what some would call the bottom in bank owned sales, Dusty knows what it takes to build a successful career. He stresses the importance of building a brand for yourself.
“Your brand is the most important tool you have.”
He stresses the importance of being smart about advertising. It may be more beneficial to spend more money on one add than less money on several smaller ones. You just have to pay attention to what advertising is truly working for you and invest in the areas where you are seeing the most return for your investment. Dusty knows from experience that it’s super important to get your face in front of people. They may not need a Realtor right this minute, but when they do, you want them to remember you. He’s been told his face is everywhere in his community and that’s how he likes it. He knows that building a brand and putting your face out there coupled with really hard work, will have a consistent return.
Dusty knows that in order to succeed in this business you have to be mindful that people are watching you. You have to be strategic with your marketing. And be willing to put in a lot of hard work. It’s easy to listen to his words of advice when you see what a huge, successful career he has built for himself over the last decade. Super valuable stuff! Click the link below to listen in:
